Day 1

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. Tour the Museum of Natural History with its splendid collection of Dinosaur exhibits. Mongolian traditional folklore concert. Evening tour of Ulaanbaatar, including the War Memorial at Zaisan if time permits. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Terelj national park
Transfer to Terelj National Park. Have an excursion to Turtle rock and Ariyabal meditation temple. In the afternoon visit a ger “museum”. Following dinner, clients will be given a demonstration and training class for the traditional Mongolian sport of archery. Trails and a competition will be held. Overnight in the ger camp.

Day 3

Terelj horse back ridding
After breakfast, you will have a demonstration and be asked to assist in the disassembling and building of a smaller Mongolian ger. Then have a short horse riding tour to Tuul River, where we will continue the adventure by rafting along the river with rafting guide and safety equipment provided. Transfer back the Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in hotel.

Day 4

Ulgii town
Take a flight to Ulgii town and visit local Kazakh family and local museum which exhibits cultural and historical items of Kazakh people. Overnight at local hotel.

Day 5 - 6

Eagle festival
Take a short drive to the eagle festival site and attend opening ceremony and demonstrate Golden eagle competitions and Kazakh traditional games. With eagle festival you can explore spectacular culture of Kazakh people and their tradition of hunting with Golden eagles. Kazakh hunters gather together to pass down techniques of hunting and training the eagles to younger generations and challenge their eagles with different ways. In the evening return to hotel and relax.

Day 7

Ulaanbaatar
Take flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy Mongolian folk art performance. Overnight in hotel.

Day 8

Departure
Check out the hotel and transfer to airport or train station. Tour ends.
