For many years Altai Mountains has been a famous by its majesty and natural beauty. We offer you a chance to challenge yourself by three different adventures in the Altai Mountains. Horseback riding, trekking and rafting will be authentic experience of your life most close to the wild nature and hospitality of nomads in the high Altai Mountains.

Day 1

Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. After checking in hotel, enjoy half day city tour with visits to Zaisan Hill, nearby Buddha garden, Sukhbaatar square and National history museum. Overnight in hotel.

Day 2

Ulaanbaatar - Hovd
This morning we are flying to Hovd town in western Altai region. After arriving in Hovd airport after 2.5 hours, transfer to Mungun Uul tourist camp in the vicinity of Hovd town on the bank of Buyant river. Overnight in ger at the camp.

Day 3

Hovd - Bayanbulag
After having breakfast in the camp, visit Hovd town and see local museum. After lunch in historical Hovd town, head northwards to Bayanbulag. Visit a small Kazakh village to witness their lifestyles and the interesting way their handle their trained hunting eagles. Overnight in tented camping nearby Kazakh families.

Day 4

Bayanbulag - Tsagaan Burgas
This is our first day of horse riding. Travel on horse back through ancient man rocks in Teregt valley, dating back to Hun Dynasty. We are arriving in Tsagaan Burgas in the evening after riding for about 15 miles through beautiful mountain sceneries of western Altai range. Overnight in tented camping.

Day 5

Tsagaan Burgas - Majig
Second day of horse riding. We are riding up the Tarvagatai river, small mountain river flowing through the picturesque Tarvagatai valley. Overnight in tented camping in Majig.

Day 6

Majig - Tsambagarav Mountain r
In the morning we are trekking on higher altitude on the domed top of a mountain. After having picnic lunch, continue our journey by jeeps to snow-capped Tsambagarav Mountain (4195 m). After arriving on the slope of this beautiful mountain, settle our tented camping on the bank of Nogoon Nuur lake.

Day 7

Tsambagarav Mountain - Hovd River (4 WD jeep)
Drive to Hovd river for sixty miles on dust road along mountain valleys and canyons. One the way to the river we are visiting an ancient rock inscription sight. Today we are also visiting local Oold family, which is small Mongolian ethnic group. Overnight on the bank of Hovd river.

Day 8

Rafting along Hovd river - Baruun els sands
We are enjoying a fantastic rafting downstream of Hovd river, which is the largest river in western Mongolia. After flowing for 20 miles we arrive in Baruun els sands, with stunning natural scenery. Overnight in tented camping.

Day 9

Baruun els – Hovd town
After breakfast, drive back to Hovd town to settle in Mungun Uul tourist camp. We are having relaxing time in the afternoon having hot shower and enjoying cultural performance in the camp in the evening. Overnight in gers.

Day 10

Gurvan senkher cave
Drive 60 miles to Tsenkheriin Agui caves, the largest cave in Mongolia, that houses stone age rock paintings dating from 20,000 – 25,000 BC. Similar caves in other parts of the world ( France) are not accessible for preservation concerns. So this will be a very rare opportunity to look into the lives of the oldest peoples of our planet. We are having Mongolian traditional picnic lunch Horhog by the cave. On the way back to Khovd we will see the view of western shore of Khar-Us Nuur (Black Water Lake) from Ukhaa Ovoo Hill. Bird watching including rare pelicans. Overnight in gers in Mungun Uul tourist camp.

Day 11

Hovd - Ulaanbaatar
Take noon flight to Ulaanbaatar. After checking in at the hotel, enjoy a brief city tour with a visit to Gobi cashmere factory outlet.

Day 12

Departure
Transfer to Chinggis Khaan International airport for departure.
