TOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1 Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Buyant Ukhaa International airport and transfer to 3-4 star hotel. Half day city tour including visits to National History Museum and Zaisan hill if time permits.
Day 2 Bayangobi and Hugnukhaan (280 kms)
Today we are starting our journey to western Mongolia. It takes about 5 hours drive on paved road to reach our first destination – Bayangobi area. After being settled in tourist camp we are exploring Bayangobi sand dunes and Hugnukhaan Mountain. Today we are also enjoying an hour of horse riding or trekking by the camp as an option. Overnight in Mongolian gers.
Day 3 Karakorum, Tsenkher Jiguur hot spa (230 kms)
This is an interesting day as we are visiting the symbolic ruins of Karakorum, the ancient capital city of Mongolia and Erdenezuu Monastery the first and one of the largest Buddhist Monasteries in Mongolia on the way. After having lunch we will continue our drive to Tsenkher jiguur hot spa sight. Take hot spa in the evening and overnight in ger camp.
Day 4 Terhiin Tsagaan Nuur Lake, Khorgo (250 kms)
With packed lunch on the way we are traveling across central Mongolian green plateau and arrive in a ger camp settled on the shore of the beautiful lake of Terhiin Tsagaan Nuur. Enroute we are visiting mysterious Taikhar Rock, central Mongolian pretty green town of Tsetserleg and Khorgo dead volcano sight.
Day 5 Tsagaan Burgas Valley (220 kms)
Today we are driving heading northwards to Huvsgul Lake. Traveling across mountain steppe zone in the northern tip of Khangai mountain range, we are finally settled in the picturesque sight of Tsagaan Burgas valley, halfway between Terhiin Tsagaan Nuur lake and Huvsgul lake for the night. Overnight in tented camping.
Day 6 Murun, Huvsgul Lake (210 kms)
Via Murun town, the center of Huvsgul Aimag, we are arriving at the shore of Huvsgul Lake today. After being settled in a ger camp conveniently located on the western shore of the lake, we enjoy relaxing time in the refreshing settings of the beautiful lake.
Day 7 Huvsgul Lake
The whole day we are enjoying experiencing the lake and exploring the surrounding area by ourselves. Overnight in gers.
Day 8 Tunamal Nuur Lake (280 kms)
After having a cultural excursion to stone monuments near Murun town we are settled near Tunamal Nuur Lake to the west of Murun town. Overnight in tented camping.
Day 9 Telmen Nuur Lake, Zambaga tourist camp (260 kms)
We are traveling across green hills and plateau of northern Mongolia dotted with numerous small lakes. Today we are having picnic lunch near Bust Nuur Lake, a beautiful lake with a tine island in the middle. Overnight in Zambaga tourist camp.
Day 10 Khag Nuur Lake, Bor Khalzan Els sand dunes (270 kms)
We are having lunch in Khag Nuur resort near Uliastai, the center of Zavkhan aimag and arriving in spectacular sight of Bor Khalzan Els sand dunes and oasis. Here we will be astonished to see springs flowing out of the bottom of huge sand dunes to feed beautiful oasis of the area. Overnight in tented camping near the sands.
Day 11 Khyargas Nuur Lake (200 kms)
We are experiencing an amazing change of natural zone, as we are traveling through extensive Mongol Els sand dunes in to picturesque southern shore of Khyargas Nuur lake, rich in vegetation and birdlife. Overnight in gers in Hetsuu Khad resort.
Day 12 Khar Us Nuur lake, Khovd town (300 kms)
Driving along the northern shore of extensive Khar Us Nuur lake, we are arriving in historic Khovd town, the center of western Mongolia. We have plenty of chances to view the rich birdlife in the lake. Overnight in tourist camp on the bank of Buyant river close to the center of Khovd town.
Day 13 Gurvan Senkher Cave (190 kms)
Today we are having a day excursion to Gurvan Senkher cave. Traveling along the western shore of Khar Us Nuur Lake, wondering the beauties of snow capped Jargalant Mountain to the east we are arriving in Gurvan Senkher nestled in an eastern branch of Altai Mountain range. Explore the twin chambers of the longest cave in Mongolia, which is believed to have been residence of prehistoric people and enjoy barbeque outside the cave for lunch. Overnight in ger camp near Khovd town.
Day 14 Ulaanbaatar
Fly back to Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy relaxing time in the hotel in the afternoon after the lengthy tour. Overnight in hotel.
Day 15 Ulaanbaatar
Full day of city tour with visits to Gandan Monastery, Natural history museum and Bogd Khaan Palace museum. Today’s program can be rearranged at the request of clients.
Day 16 Departure
Transfer to Chinggis Khaan international airport and departure.

It was amazing we were treated an exceptionally well. The tour was very thorough, our guide knew so much about the area and answered all of our questions. The ger camp was wonderful, meals fantastic, staff lovely, all activities brilliant.
